The ‘Skinny’ On Celebrity Skin

When it comes to great skin, you have no need to look any further than the vast array of beautiful celebrities that adorn our screens, magazines and TV. Rihanna, Katy Perry, Pink, Jennifer Lopez, Heidi Klum, Angelina Jolie, Drew Barrymore…the list goes on forever. All these celebrities have one thing in common: perfect skin. No matter what live appearance they make or advert they appear in, their skin always looks flawless. Of course, it doesn’t just happen naturally. Often a lot of it is to do with heredity but the rest remains on other factors. These include:

  • Supplements
  • Exercise
  • Diet
  • Creams & Skin Products
  • Cosmetic Surgery

Supplements

Katy Perry famously posted pictures of bags containing her massive amount of vitamins and supplements that she takes daily on Twitter proving beauty doesn’t come easy. For perfect skin, you really need to be taking Omega-3 fatty acids, Vitamin A, E as well as C every day. There are also supplements called Phytoceramides that help. Vitamin B3 has been said to lead to softer, smoother skin and a reduction of fine lines. Biotin is also important for good skin (and hair).

Exercise

Celebrities are always in the spotlight so their bodies have to look fabulous – the last thing they need to see are unflattering pictures in the tabloids. They do this with rigorous exercise. Through all this rigorous exercise, sweating occurs and through this toxins are able to leave the body creating healthier, younger skin that glows. Just think about certain celebrities that work out a lot – Jennifer Lopez, Pink, Gwen Stefani – they all have really beautiful skin that seems to glow and never age.

Diet

Celebrities have all the money in the world but they sure aren’t spending it on Big Macs and fries. Celebrities are really careful about what they put into their bodies as the end result ends up on their face. They know that for a beautiful, clear complexion high fiber, high-water-content food should be ingested. A lot of them are vegans – like Miley Cyrus and Ellen DeGeneres and since a lot of them perform on stage they need food in them that will give them a lot of energy. ‘You are what you eat’ certainly applies here and it shows in their gorgeous skin.

Creams & Skin Products

Celebrities are not shy about spending when it comes to the best of the best in anti-aging creams and creams that make their skin look generally beautiful. Often, a lot of their products are from Hollywood, specially formulated by doctors and plastic surgeons. They also have ‘interesting’ beauty habits. Both Kim Kardashian and Sandra Bullock use hemorrhoid cream on their face. Kim uses it around the eyes and Sandra uses it all over her face, to give them a tighter, brighter look.

Cosmetic Surgery

On the extreme end, certain celebrities will fight tooth and nail to make their skin beautiful. Many undergo botox – the Kardashian family is famous for this, some have facelifts and some even rhinoplasty. Certain special skin procedures are on the rise such as microneedling which celebrities like Gwyneth Paltrow and Naomi Watts swear by. Teeth are always fixed and whitened and perfect smiles are created.

There’s no denying it, when it comes to emulating celebrities’ skin, many things go into the mixture but the end results are magnificent! Go ahead, do what you can and look gorgeous today!
